How to Transfer Data on Airtel 2023
In one of our articles, I explained how you can transfer data on Airtel and I told you that you can use USSD code, SMS, and Airtel mobile app.
How to Transfer Data from Airtel to Airtel using USSD Code
To Transfer Data on Airtel using USSD Code, you have to follow the steps below:
- Dial *141# on your Airtel line To transfer data on Airtel, you need to dial *141# on your Airtel line. This code will take you to the Airtel menu showing options such as buy data bundles, buy talk time, borrow credit, and share data.
- Select option 6 (‘Share Data’) After dialing *141#, you will be presented with different options. Option 6 is ‘Share Data,’ which allows you to transfer data to another Airtel line.
- Select option 1 (‘Me2U’) Once you have selected ‘Share Data,’ you will be presented with another menu that displays different sharing options. Select option 1, ‘Me2U,’ which allows you to share from your existing data bundle. The data bundles range from 10MB to 10GB daily transfer. Select the data bundle that you want to share.
- Enter the phone number of the recipient After selecting ‘Me2U,’ you will be prompted to enter the phone number of the recipient. Enter the phone number, and make sure that you enter it correctly. Once you have entered the phone number, you will be asked to confirm the transfer.
- Confirm the transfer [option 1, proceed] After entering the phone number of the recipient, you will be prompted to confirm the transfer. Make sure that you have entered the correct phone number, as the transfer cannot be reversed once it has been completed.
- you will receive a notification of the data transfer once the transfer has been completed, both you and the recipient will receive a notification from Airtel. The notification will confirm the amount of data that has been transferred and the validity period of the data bundle.
For example, if you want to share 500MB of data with a friend whose phone number is 08012345678, you would dial *141#, select option 6 (Share Data), select option 1 (Me2U), enter 08012345678, select 500MB, select option 1 (proceed), wait for SMS notification for confirmation.
